When my closest friend decided to tie a knot, I was happily surprised. He was a happy-go-lucky kind of fellow and when he decided to start a new life, I was really happy but was little skeptical. Will he be able to handle his new responsibility? Will he be able to leave behind all his past affairs and carry on faithfully with his so adorable bride? Well, I obviously prayed to my beloved God, Lord Ganesha and asked him to bless my friend on his new venture.

Yes, it is just like a ritual in our Hindu families to pray to Lord Ganesh whenever we start anything new and seek his divine blessings. We say that we are doing “Shree Ganesha” of our new work, which means, we are starting new work. This is the reason I was searching for the good Ganesha symbol to present to my friend on his auspicious day of wedding. Though he is a non-Hindu, he has good sentiments towards our religion and our idol Ganesha.

While searching, I came across the Ganesha Mall where I found literally hundreds of amazing Ganesha statues and different Ganesha items online. I was mesmerized to see my beloved God in so many forms and shapes. I chose scripture Ganesh on decorative tray. I liked this symbol of sacrifice and also loved the way it was sculpted. I purchased it without any hassles online and presented my friend. You know what! He prays before this statue daily along with his wife and they really have a wonderful marriage! “Touch wood”!
